  • Picking up: permittedDrivers can wait in the free Cell Phone Lot until arriving passengers have deplaned, collected luggage and called to be picked up outside Baggage Claim. Go to the arrival curb when your travelers have collected all their luggage and contacted you to tell you which door they are located by. Without a cell phone, a good plan is to arrive 20-30 minutes after the aircraft is scheduled to land.
  • Waiting: not permittedYou cannot wait on the curbside. The airport changed its curbside waiting policy with safety in mind: an influx of vehicles on the lower level caused frequent congestion that can block the emergency lane. Travelers should bring all their bags outside before contacting you; if they are still waiting for bags to come off the bag belt, you will need to depart the curbside until they are ready to actively load again.

  Cell Phone Lot in the DOT&PF Central Region Headquarters parking lot, via the Aviation Avenue Exit
  • Waiting: permittedThe free Cell Phone Lot is located in a designated area of the DOT&PF Central Region Headquarters parking lot, just two minutes away from both the South and North Terminals. There are 15 parking spots during the work week (Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) and more than 30 spots in the evening and on weekends. When approaching ANC on West International Airport Road, turn right at the Aviation Avenue Exit and follow signs to the lot. Drivers must stay with their vehicles; parking along International Airport Road is strictly prohibited.
• ANC Parking GaragePark and come inside
  ANC Parking Garage
  • Waiting: permittedThe ANC Parking Garage is one of the other areas to park while you wait; it is free for the first 30 minutes.
  • Meeting: permittedIf you are needed to assist your inbound travelers, the best way is to park in the parking garage and go inside the terminal to meet them.
