The white arrow on the runway points the way the traffic is going. Derived from the positions of aircraft flying low near the airport right now. Not an official runway plan; what we see.
Designation, direction and length of every runway. These rarely change; which one is in use right now shows up here whenever we observe traffic.

Luxembourg Airport (IATA LUX, ICAO ELLX), usually called Findel after its location, lies six kilometers east of Luxembourg City and is the only commercial airport of the Grand Duchy. It is the home of Luxair and of Cargolux, one of the largest all-cargo airlines in the world, whose Boeing 747 freighters dominate the apron and our radar; for the banks, EU institutions and the many cross-border workers from France, Belgium and Germany it is a remarkably well-connected airport for a country of its size. The live radar on this page shows the traffic around Findel; the arrivals and departures pages are linked above it.
Luxair is the largest airline and flies to London City, Paris, Munich, Vienna, Milan, Lisbon, Porto, Nice, Berlin, Copenhagen, Rome and a long list of Mediterranean holiday destinations; Lufthansa connects Frankfurt and Munich, KLM Amsterdam, SWISS Zurich, British Airways London Heathrow and TAP Air Portugal Lisbon and Porto, reflecting the large Portuguese community. Ryanair and easyJet fly the low-cost routes. In the cargo business, Cargolux flies to Asia, North America and the Middle East. In our route data, London City, Frankfurt, Porto, Amsterdam and Munich are the most frequently flown connections.
Public transport in Luxembourg has been free nationwide since 2020. Buses 16 and 29 run from the terminal to the city center and the main railway station in twenty to thirty minutes, and the tram line has been extended to the airport. From Germany and France, the A1 and A3 motorways lead to Findel, from Trier in half an hour and from Metz in an hour; parking is at the terminal, with cheaper lots further out. Taxis to the city take a quarter of an hour but are expensive.
Findel has one terminal (Terminal A) with a central security checkpoint and short walks to the gates; an hour before departure is usually enough. The airport is busy during the Luxembourg school holidays, which do not always coincide with those of its neighbors. Luxembourg is in Schengen and the eurozone. Alternatives are Frankfurt-Hahn an hour away for Ryanair, Saarbrücken in Germany, and for long-haul Frankfurt, Brussels and Paris-Charles de Gaulle, each a little over two hours away by road or rail. Every airport we track is listed in the airport overview.
