What do the colors mean?
The white arrow on the runway points the way the traffic is going. Derived from the positions of aircraft flying low near the airport right now. Not an official runway plan; what we see.
Designation, direction and length of every runway. These rarely change; which one is in use right now shows up here whenever we observe traffic.
1 runway · Longest runway: 10,171 ft
We currently see no traffic on approach or just after takeoff. That happens at a quiet airport or in the middle of the night.

Fly direct
The destinations we know the most flight numbers for. That approximates how heavily a route is served; it is not a passenger count.
Other airports within reach, with the straight-line distance and the number of direct destinations we know of. Airports without scheduled service are left out.
Airport facts
Ilorin International Airport (IATA ILR, ICAO DNIL), renamed after General Tunde Idiagbon, lies about ten kilometers from the center of Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State in the north-central belt of Nigeria, roughly halfway between Lagos and Abuja by road. It is a mid-sized domestic airport with a long runway, international in name and designation but in practice serving the Nigerian network and the annual hajj charters to Saudi Arabia, for which a dedicated terminal was built. The radar on this page shows what our data sources report around Ilorin; the arrivals and departures pages are linked above it.
Nigerian domestic carriers fly from Ilorin to Lagos and Abuja, the two routes that matter, with Air Peace, Overland Airways and others operating over recent years; schedules and operators change frequently in Nigeria's domestic market, so check the current timetable. Once a year, during the hajj season, wide-body charters fly pilgrims from Kwara and the neighboring states directly to Medina and Jeddah. There are otherwise no international flights. Ilorin lies beyond the reach of our receivers, so the live radar depends on other data sources.
Taxis and hotel cars wait at the terminal for the twenty-minute drive into Ilorin along the airport road; agree the fare beforehand. There is no bus service worth planning around. The city sits on the main Lagos-Abuja highway, with road connections to Ibadan in three hours and to Abuja in five.
The passenger terminal is a modest single building with one departure hall; arrive an hour and a half ahead, because security screening is thorough and the flights are small. Delays and cancellations are common in Nigeria's domestic network, so allow time for connections in Lagos and Abuja. Read your government's travel advice for Nigeria before traveling. The international gateways are Lagos and Abuja, and Ibadan is the nearest other airport. Every airport we track is listed in the airport overview.
