- The airport is served directly by Expressway Route 64 and Bus Éireann Route 440, with regular services throughout the day, seven days a week. The Bus Éireann drop-off and pick-up point is less than a 1-minute walk from the terminal and can be reached by a ramp and steps.
- Route 64 offers direct connections between Galway and Donegal via Ireland West Airport, with stops including Tuam, Claremorris, Knock, Charlestown, Sligo, Donegal Town, Letterkenny and Derry.
- Route 440 connects the airport with major towns and villages across the West and Midlands, including Athlone, Roscommon, Castlerea, Ballyhaunis, Claremorris, Swinford, Castlebar and Westport.
