Good to know

  • The KLIA Ekspres non-stop service to the KL City Air Terminal (KL CAT) in KL Sentral takes 28 minutes from Terminal 1, and 33 minutes from klia2, inclusive of a 1-minute stop at KLIA.
  • There is also a transit train service with 3 stops along the journey at Bandar Tasik Selatan, Putrajaya/Cyberjaya and Salak Tinggi. It takes 35 minutes from Terminal 1 and 39 minutes from klia2.
  • From 11:00 p.m., all KLIA Ekspres trains stop at all stations, with service extended until 1:00 a.m. from KLIA T1 and T2. The journey time between KLIA T1 and KLIA T2 is 3 minutes.
  • KLIA Ekspres ticket counters at KLIA T1 are at the train platform on Level 1, Domestic Arrival and International Arrival (Baggage Reclaim Hall); at KLIA T2 at Gateway@klia2, Domestic Arrival and International Arrival (Baggage Reclaim Hall).

  • At Terminal 1, you can take the bus service by going to Level 1, Block C, Short-Term Car Park and Level 1, Main Terminal Building. Buses serve several destinations within Peninsular Malaysia; the information is subject to change by the respective service providers.
  • Express Coach runs between Terminal 1 and KL Sentral, departing every 30 minutes; from Terminal 1, the first departure is at 7:45 a.m. and the last at 8:45 p.m. Travel time is 1 hour.

  • At Terminal 2, you can take the bus service by going to the Transport Hub, Level 1, Gateway shopping mall. Routes within Peninsular Malaysia include klia2 – KL Sentral (Aerobus and SkyBus), and a Free Shuttle runs klia2 – KLIA.

  • Airport Taxi services can be arranged at official counters on Level 3, Main Terminal Building: the Domestic Arrival Hall, the International Baggage Reclaim Area and the curbside area. Online booking is also possible.
  • There are two official taxi services: Coupon Taxi, a fixed-fare service paid before the journey based on destination and vehicle category, and Metered Taxi, where the fare is calculated by distance travelled and journey duration.

  • Terminal 2 has couponed city taxis, with fixed charges based on the destination, and metered taxis. For both, you purchase a coupon before boarding at the counter at the Transport Hub, Level 1, Gateway shopping mall.
