What do the colors mean?
The white arrow on the runway points the way the traffic is going. Derived from the positions of aircraft flying low near the airport right now. Not an official runway plan; what we see.
Designation, direction and length of every runway. These rarely change; which one is in use right now shows up here whenever we observe traffic.
4 runways · Longest runway: 14,836 ft

Practical
Transport by bus and taxi; parking at the airport; picking someone up or dropping them off.
Fly direct
The destinations we know the most flight numbers for. That approximates how heavily a route is served; it is not a passenger count.
Other airports within reach, with the straight-line distance and the number of direct destinations we know of. Airports without scheduled service are left out.

Harry Reid International Airport, listed under the IATA code LAS and the ICAO code KLAS, is the Las Vegas airport in the United States, positioned at 36.0834 north and 115.1518 west. It carries the large airport classification, and our own traffic measurement backs that up: LAS sits at the very top of our data, among the busiest airports we cover anywhere. A live radar already runs on this page, showing the aircraft arriving at and departing from LAS right now, and the arrivals and departures pages linked above it carry the flight-by-flight times and status, so the text below sticks to what neither of them can show, namely how much traffic we received at LAS over 30 days, when the airport peaks, which airlines dominate our recordings, and which airports sit nearby.
The traffic figures on this page do not come from published statistics; they come from our own reception-based measurement, which logged aircraft near LAS across a 30-day period. Over that period we recorded an average of 162.8 aircraft observations per day, the volume behind the airport's position at the top of our measurement. The timing is just as distinctive as the volume. The busiest window in those 30 days ran from 01:00 to 03:00 on our measurement clock, and that clock runs in UTC, so the window does not read as Las Vegas local time. Watch the radar on this page during those UTC hours and you will see LAS at its most active.
Three carriers stand out in what our receivers picked up at Las Vegas during those 30 days. Frontier Airlines leads by a wide margin with 978 measurements, the highest count of the three. American Airlines follows with 485 measurements, and Delta Air Lines completes the trio with 211. Each count is simply the number of times our own measurement registered that carrier at LAS within the 30-day window. If your flight is with one of these three, the carrier pages take over where this airport-wide view stops: Frontier Airlines flight status, American Airlines flight status, and Delta Air Lines flight status.
Two other airports in our data sit close to LAS. Nellis Air Force Base is the nearest at 20 km, and Boulder City Municipal Airport follows at 30 km.
That is Las Vegas as our own data shows it: an airport at the top of our measurement, a clear busy window between 01:00 and 03:00 UTC, three carriers that dominate the recordings, and two nearby airports at 20 and 30 km. For the current picture at LAS, the live radar on this page comes first, with the arrivals and departures pages above it for individual flights.
