Qatar Airways World Cup – A Look At Our Services

The 2022 FIFA World Cup is only days away, and Qatar Airways, the official airline sponsor of the World Cup, has been flying multiple teams to their training locations.

On Sunday, Qatar Airways flew the Qatar National Football team back home after completing a rigorous training camp in Spain.

Qatar will be participating in the 2018 World Cup for the first time, qualifying automatically by being the host nation. Qatar will kick off the tournament on Sunday against Ecuador. They’ll later face Senegal and Netherlands in the group stage.

Qatar Airways is also transferring players and members of the CBF’s leadership to the World Cup. On Saturday evening, a Qatar Airways Boeing 777 departed RIOgaleão – Aeródromo Internacional Tom Jobim in Rio de Janeiro and headed for Turin, Italy. The team was on board along with three Brazil players who arrived yesterday and today. After a few days of training in Italy, Brazil will fly back to Qatar.

Gol Linhas Aéreas, the official airline of Brazil, is not certified to transport passengers overseas. However, it provided significant support to those who represent their country in the World Cup.

Without the Europe World Cup presence, there would be no additional World Cup presence.

Qatar Airways has been extremely busy promoting their involvement with the FIFA World Cup. They’ve created the Qatar Airways Skyhouse, which is located at the FIFA Fan Festival. There are numerous amazing activities and even games for kids in this venue. There are also interactive football-themed experiences at each of the eight stadiums hosting matches!

The FIFA World Cup is the most popular sporting event on earth, and Mr. Akbar Al Baker is excited about it.

“Qatar Airways, the Official Airline of the FIFA World Cup 2022™, is all set to welcome fans from around the world. Football fever is in the air, and this is the moment we’ve all been waiting for. This time next week, the first FIFA World Cup will whistle, marking the beginning of an incredible tournament that’s going to be remembered for a lifetime.”

Qatar Airways is the world’s winningest airline, and has placed iconic FIFA World Cup decals on 120 aircraft. Get your transit to Qatar on one of the three specially-branded jets—the rest are on a list of specially branded aircraft that includes 8 B777s, 31 B787s, 21 A320s, 12 A330s, and eight A380s.

The FIFA World Cup is different this year. There are many reasons why it’s so unique, but the biggest is that the tournament is taking place in Qatar in the wintertime. That’s right; this event will take place in November and December to offer cooler conditions for players and spectators alike. Another reason worth mentioning is that a couple of stadiums have been built out of shipping containers as well, and will be torn down after the tournament concludes.
