Welcome to the airport of Tradewind! This little gem is located just southeast of Amarillo, Texas. Inaugurated in 1946, it has long been a home for general aviation. The airport is run privately and has a friendly feel. It has modern amenities, including a new FBO building from 2014. On-site, Shelby’s Restaurant opened in 2022 to honor the airport founder, Shelby Kritser. Tradewind Airport offers a welcoming and convenient airport experience, whether you are flying in or out.
