About Delta Air Lines
Delta Air Lines is an airline based in United States, listed under the ICAO code DAL and the IATA code DL; air traffic control addresses its flights by the callsign “Delta”. On this page you can follow Delta Air Lines flights and find the airports it serves.
How to read a Delta Air Lines flight number
Every Delta Air Lines flight number starts with DL, followed by up to four digits: that is the number on your booking confirmation and boarding pass. In flight plans the same flight carries the ICAO prefix DAL, and controllers address it as “Delta”. One thing to watch: codeshares. A ticket sold by another airline can be operated by Delta Air Lines and vice versa; live tracking follows the operating carrier’s number, so if your search comes up empty, check the “operated by” line on your booking.

Frequently asked questions about Delta Air Lines
Where is my Delta Air Lines flight right now?
Search the flight number (DL plus digits) in the search box on this page. If the aircraft is airborne within receiver coverage, you will see its live status; before departure you will see the route.
Is my Delta Air Lines flight delayed or cancelled?
Check the flight number on this page for live status, but for rebooking, gate changes and cancellations the airline itself remains the authoritative source.
What do DL and DAL mean on Delta Air Lines flights?
They are two prefixes for the same airline. DL is the IATA code you see on tickets; DAL is the ICAO code used in flight plans and by air traffic control.
Does Delta Air Lines operate flights for other airlines?
Codeshare agreements mean a flight sold under another carrier’s number may be operated by Delta Air Lines, and the reverse. Live tracking always follows the operating carrier’s flight number; check the “operated by” line on your booking.

About Lufthansa
Lufthansa, based in Germany, operates under the ICAO code DLH and the IATA code LH; its radio callsign is “Lufthansa”. On this page you can follow Lufthansa flights and find the airports it serves.
How to read a Lufthansa flight number
Every Lufthansa flight number starts with LH, followed by up to four digits: that is the number on your booking confirmation and boarding pass. In flight plans the same flight carries the ICAO prefix DLH, and controllers address it as “Lufthansa”. One thing to watch: codeshares. A ticket sold by another airline can be operated by Lufthansa and vice versa; live tracking follows the operating carrier’s number, so if your search comes up empty, check the “operated by” line on your booking.

Frequently asked questions about Lufthansa
Where is my Lufthansa flight right now?
Search the flight number (LH plus digits) in the search box on this page. If the aircraft is airborne within receiver coverage, you will see its live status; before departure you will see the route.
Is my Lufthansa flight delayed or cancelled?
Check the flight number on this page for live status, but for rebooking, gate changes and cancellations the airline itself remains the authoritative source.
What do LH and DLH mean on Lufthansa flights?
They are two prefixes for the same airline. LH is the IATA code you see on tickets; DLH is the ICAO code used in flight plans and by air traffic control.
Does Lufthansa operate flights for other airlines?
Codeshare agreements mean a flight sold under another carrier’s number may be operated by Lufthansa, and the reverse. Live tracking always follows the operating carrier’s flight number; check the “operated by” line on your booking.

How to track a flight
Tracking a flight takes less than a minute. Find the flight number: the two-character airline code followed by digits (in the form XX123), printed on your booking confirmation, boarding pass or the airport display. Enter it in the search box above. No flight number? Open the departure or arrival airport’s page and scan today’s board. Check back as departure approaches: estimated times firm up as new data comes in, so the page you see an hour before arrival is more reliable than the one you saw in the morning.
How flight tracking works
Most commercial aircraft continuously broadcast their identity, position, altitude and speed using ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast), a transponder signal designed for air-traffic surveillance. Networks of ground receivers pick up these broadcasts, and flight trackers combine them with airline and airport data to build the live picture you see on this site. That picture is very good, but it is not gospel: receiver coverage is densest over land and thinner over oceans and remote regions, and airlines adjust schedules and gates at short notice. For anything time-critical, treat the tracker as your early-warning system and the airline or airport as the final word.
About our data
Reference data on this site (airport codes, coordinates, runways and airline identities) comes from openly documented aviation datasets, including OurAirports and OpenFlights. Live positions and our own traffic statistics come from the adsb.lol receiver network, with route lookups via adsbdb.com; live arrival and departure boards are available for 3454 airports. We show when a page’s facts were last refreshed, and we would rather show no number than a wrong one.
