Atlanta arrivals: how to read the board

The arrivals board above lists the flights landing at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International today, with the scheduled time, the estimated or actual landing time and the status of each flight. It updates continuously. Atlanta is the busiest airport in the world by passengers and the main hub of Delta; a large share of the people on this board are connecting rather than staying.

Atlanta has two terminal buildings at opposite ends of the concourses: the Domestic Terminal, with a North side (Delta) and a South side (everyone else), and the Maynard H. Jackson International Terminal on the east side. Check which one your passenger will come out of, because they are a shuttle ride apart. The North and South Hourly lots are closest to each terminal entrance and are, according to the airport, the place to pick up: take a ticket at the gate and pay at the machines or the exit. Allow half an hour between landing and the Domestic Terminal baggage claim, an hour or more for international arrivals with customs. The MARTA station is at the west end of the Domestic Terminal, and shuttles run from the international terminal to the Ground Transportation Center and the Rental Car Center.

Which flights you see on this board

Delta and its regional partner Endeavor account for most arrivals, from almost every city in the United States and from Europe, Latin America and Asia. Frontier, Southwest and Spirit are the big low-cost carriers here, American Airlines and United Airlines fly in from their hubs. The busiest connections in our route data are Orlando, New York LaGuardia and Fort Lauderdale; international arrivals include London Heathrow, Paris and Amsterdam.

Looking for a departing flight? Switch to the Departures tab. Summer thunderstorms are the classic cause of delay at Atlanta; the board shows for each flight whether the estimated time has slipped. Every airport we track is listed in the airport overview.
