Bournemouth Airport departures: how to read the board

The departures board above lists the flights leaving Bournemouth today, with the scheduled departure time, the estimated or actual time, the destination and the status. It updates continuously; an estimated time later than the schedule means a delay, and departed means the aircraft has left the gate.

Bournemouth has one terminal with a single security search and the gates a short walk beyond, so it is a quick airport to get through. Ryanair closes its gates on time and checks hand luggage strictly, and when two or three Jet2.com and TUI Airways holiday flights leave together on a summer morning, the small security hall fills up. Arrive well ahead of the time on the board.

Dropping off and getting there

For a drop-off, enter Car Park 1 directly opposite the terminal and use the Express Drop-off/Pick-up Area, chargeable with a four-hour maximum; stopping on the approach roads is not permitted. Bournemouth has no railway station: the MoreBus 737 runs from Bournemouth railway station and the YX1 from Poole on weekdays, and the official PRC Streamline Taxis can be pre-booked. By car, the airport is off the A338 north of Bournemouth.
