Good to know

  • The Canada Line is Vancouver’s rapid transit line, connecting YVR to downtown Vancouver in under 30 minutes and to downtown Richmond in 18 minutes.
  • The Canada Line is accessible by elevator from the arrivals and departures levels. YVR has 24-hour, seven-day-a-week public transit access: when the Canada Line is closed, the N10 NightBus runs to Downtown or Richmond.

From the airport

  • Arriving from within Canada? Your checked bags are at Arrivals on Level 2 of the Domestic Terminal; on Level 3, walk toward the Link Building between the International and Domestic Terminals and follow the signs marked Canada Line.
  • All transit users leaving YVR on the Canada Line pay a Canada Line AddFare in addition to the regular zone fare; it is added automatically when you buy a ticket. For a single adult ticket you can tap your contactless debit or credit card right at the fare gate.

  • All taxis are first come, first served from the two taxi stands, on International Arrivals Level 2 and Domestic Arrivals Level 2. Drivers are not permitted to pick up passengers outside the taxi stands.
  • Taxi zone fares apply for trips departing from YVR to specific zones; meter rates apply for trips outside the zone map. Taxis accept cash, credit cards and debit cards, and no freight or baggage charges are permitted.

  • Lyft and Uber are authorized providers of Ride App services at YVR. Pick-up areas are on International Arrivals Level 2 and Domestic Arrivals Level 2; follow the Ride App symbol and directional signs in the airport.
  • Please wait until you have your luggage before requesting a ride. Ride App drivers have a dedicated waiting area at YVR, a short distance from the terminal.
