Larnaca Airport departures: how to read the board

The departures board above lists the flights leaving Larnaca International today, with the scheduled departure time, the estimated or actual time, the destination and the status. It updates continuously; an estimated time later than the schedule means a delay, and departed means the aircraft has left the gate.

Larnaca has one terminal with check-in and security on the departures level and the gates in the pier beyond. Every departing passenger goes through passport control, because Cyprus is outside the Schengen area, and in summer, when the Wizz Air, easyJet, Jet2.com and TUI Airways flights to Britain leave close together in the afternoon and evening, the queues are long. Arrive well ahead of the time on the board.

Dropping off and getting there

The drop-off zone opposite the main entrances on the Departures Level is free for a one-minute stop; to walk in together, park in the Short Term Uncovered car park P2 opposite the terminal. Intercity buses run from Nicosia, Limassol and Ayia Napa to the airport, taxis are available around the clock, and the A3 motorway brings you from Limassol in less than an hour.

The board is dominated by flights to Britain with British Airways, easyJet, Jet2.com, TUI Airways and Wizz Air UK to London Heathrow, London Gatwick, London Luton, Manchester and Birmingham, Cyprus Airways and Aegean Airlines to Athens and the Greek islands, and the flights to Tel Aviv, Vienna and Dubai.
